Treatments and Programs: For those who might be “spa shy,” Glen Ivy’s signature group spa experience known as The Grotto is an ideal starter spa service. At an affordable price, this 30-minute spa “excursion” can be done alone, with one friend or up to 12 and enjoyed for birthdays, girls nights out or as a unique couples activity. After entering The Grotto, attendants help guests apply a fresh sugar body scrub which is then showered off. Next an attendant coats the guest with a sea kelp and aloe vera body mask. They are then directed to the warm, humid Hydrating Chamber to allow the moisturizing product to work its magic on the skin. After showering, Grotto-goers are invited to enjoy a misty relaxation chamber to allow their bodies to return to a normal temperature. After being relaxed by expert massage therapists, enjoy the custom shower experience and time by the fireplace. For use of “massage two” there is an additional charge per person. (Hermosa Beach and Valencia only, treatment time plus 30 minutes)

Maternity Treatments and Programs: Maternity Massage - a soothing and highly relaxing massage for expectant mothers. performed while side-lying, specially trained therapists will access the entire body without compromising comfort of mother or baby. special attention is given to the lower back and legs. recommended after the first trimester. (50 minutes).

Spa Facilities: Located on the second floor of the Hermosa Beach Pavilion -- a high-end, ocean-view retail/office complex -- the 13,850 square-foot spa which opened in March 2006 offers the convenience and easy access of a central urban location while creating a restorative and relaxing “spa in the garden” experience for its guests. Skylights, lush foliage, water features and natural materials -- like tumbled marble and polished granite -- are incorporated into the design of the bi-level spa to create a soothing, natural space. The spa features 20 treatment rooms, lavish men’s and women’s facilities and Glen Ivy’s signature social spa experience, The Grotto.
