Treatments and Programs: The ancient art of massage is performed by expert hands and combined with modern western techniques to encourage total physical and psychological regeneration. Massages like Shiatzu, Thai, Aromatherapy and Scen Tao exploit the calming and revitalizing properties of essential oils to improve circulation and tone the skin. The Wellness Center is also a real “SPA - Salus Per Aquam ”, meaning “health through water”. Sea water is the extraordinary resource and it is fetched 900 meters from the coast to give Guests a wide selection of thalassotherapic treatments like hydro-massages with algae or salts, underwater hydro-massages, jet showers, horizontal sea rain showers and many more. The Center integrates and completes the benefits obtained through thalassotherapy with an array of beauty treatments for both men and women selected with special attention to the Guest's individual needs and skillfully applied using a high quality range of beauty products derived also from sea water, seaweed and sea water derivatives. Personalized SPA packages which combine Thalassotherapy and Beauty treatments are available on request to assure each Guest with the best approach to his/her requirements. Fitness lovers will enjoy the modern exercise equipment of the Gym, the intense pleasure of the naturally lighted Finnish Sauna, the purifying steam and trickling water of the mosaic Roman Bath and Hammam, and finally rest sipping fruit juices in the Relaxation Room where colors, soft music and lighting reproduce the typical peacefulness of the Tuscan landscape. Medical Check Up is not compulsory but recommended. If requested a non-specialist medical examination can be booked before arrival to be paid directly at the SPA. In some cases, the SPA Manager can require a medical certificate of good health before authorizing thalassotherapic treatments so it is advisable to bring one along and present it upon arrival.

Spa Facilities: Under the setting of a spectacular grotto, five thalasso pools provide the basis of modern Thalassotherapy. Each pool contains sea water taken at 900 meters from the coast and heated at various temperatures according to each pool's specific purpose and features. Bathing in the thalasso pools can be part of a personalized therapeuticprogramor simply a pleasant relaxing experience in an enchanting atmosphere. Hygiene standards are rigorous: the sea water is taken from uncontaminated sources and the bacteriological level and saline content aretested through the use of sophisticated equipment and regular controls. In addition, two outsidesea water pools (one for children) are available for sunbathing and relaxing in the garden of the Resort. Children age 4 and above can bathe in the thalasso pools. Adult surveillance is requested for children under age 12. The Main Pool is heated at 35° C.This temperature allows the skin to better absorb the minerals anddissolve the salts in the water. The recommended bathing time is of about 15-20 minutes and a few minutes of rest is recommended after each bath. This pool is also ideal for soft physical exercise, rehabilitation exercises and aqua-gym sessions. The Hydro-massage and Shower Pool is equipped with various hydro-massages placed at various heights on both sides of the pool and with three hydro-massage beds. There is also a jet shower with an underwater seat. The recommended bathing time is of about 15-20 minutes and a few minutes of rest is recommended after each bath. The Kneipp Vascular Pool is built according to the famous method of Dr. Kneipp and consists of two sea water corridors, one cold and one hot, separated by stairs. The passage from cold to warm and back improves the blood circulation of the legs which is further stimulated by the climbing and descending of the steps between the two alleys. Furthermore, the bottom of the pool is covered with smooth rounded stonesgiving thefeet a natural plantar massage according to the original Japanese technique. The Cross-Current Pool has a very strong jet of water below the surface allows counter-current swimming. The underwater jet can also be used as a strong localized hydro-massage to the abdomen and buttocks. The Emotional Pool is set in a smaller separate grotto and is a haven of intense relaxation.Soft colored lighting, underwater music system and the higher salinity improves the floatation and the relaxing effect. These features and the silent environment makes this pool ideal for water treatments like Aqua E-Motion and Aqua Cranial.
