A spa quality system includes everything that the spa's staff need to know and do to safely, effectively, and efficiently deliver treatments and services that consistently meet the needs of the spa's Guests. By using a quality system approach, the spa is positioned for long-term success. The following 20 questions are designed to help you determine if your spa's quality system is complete:

Does the spa staff use the defined vision, mission, and values on a daily basis?

Are the key processes of the spa business and operations and their interactions defined?

Give yourself 1 point for every "yes" and 0 for every "no." If you scored 16 - 20, your spa most likely has a robust quality system. If you scored 10 - 15 your spa has a quality system that needs improvement. If you scored 9 or less, your quality system may be putting your spa business at risk.
