Deepak Chopra’s Keynote Address To Kick Off Spa & Resort And Medical Spa Expos And Conferences In Los Angeles on February 15, 2004

LOS ANGELES – Among the world’s foremost leaders in mind-body medicine, Deepak Chopra, M.D., will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural Spa & Resort Expo and Conference and the Medical Spa Expo in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 15 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Calif.

Chopra, who has addressed the United Nations, the World Health Organization and major U.S. medical organizations, is renowned for introducing Quantum Healing, which integrates the powers of the mind and body to foster a natural healing process.

“I am honored that the Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo and Conference has asked me to be the first keynote speaker,” said Chopra. “This will be a very exciting, stimulating and eye-opening experience for all who attend as we learn how to recognize and act upon the miraculous power of coincidence that can spontaneously fulfill our desires and tap into the true potential that rests within each of us. The new Los Angeles shows are an extension of the successful Spa & Resort & Medical Spa Expos held in New York City for the past two years. The first L.A. event will be open Feb. 15 – 16, 2004.

Topalian noted that advent of the shows in Los Angeles was prompted by the rapid growth and enormous success that was experienced in New York City for the past few years. Twice as many companies participated in the 2003 event than in the previous year. Attendance doubled as well.

“Los Angeles is the largest spa market in America,” explained Topalian. “In fact, California is home to the highest concentration of plastic surgeons and dermatologists. More than 16,000 medical spa-related personnel work in the state. There is no question that our Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expos and Conferences will enable many companies to bring their messages directly to the vital L.A. marketplace where they can meet prospective customers face to face.”

Thousands of professionals in the spa and resort and medical-related fields are expected to attend the event in Los Angeles. Show organizers, Reed Exhibitions, will also conduct Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expos and Conferences in New York City, April 18-19 at Pier 94, and at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Sept. 12-13.
