Tempo Miami, A RockResort Appoints Patrick Little Spa Director of New RockResorts Spa
Miami, FL – September 13, 2010 – Tempo Miami, A RockResort invites guests to create their own pace for relaxation with the unveiling of its RockResorts Spa. The menu features treatments designed to reflect the distinct tone of musical instruments, including “movement massages,” “facial expressions,” “body of art wraps,” and “wax lyrical.”
Overseeing the spa is the newly appointed spa director Patrick Little, who is responsible for creation of the comprehensive spa menu, membership, staffing and standard operating procedures for the spa and pool. Little joins the RockResorts Spa family with more than 20 years of management experience in the hospitality industry with emphasis on spa operations, planning and development. Prior to Tempo Miami, Little served as the director of spa at The Setai in South Beach. Before The Setai, Little served as the executive spa director and assistant general manager at The Point Resident Club & Spa in Aventura, FL, where he operated the 32,000 square foot spa facility that included a boutique, tennis center, beauty salon and two cafes. Little also held management positions at The Spa at Fisher Island in Miami Beach, FL, the spa consulting firm HUW Enterprises in Ormond Beach, FL, and Eden Rock Resort & Spa in Miami Beach, FL.
The 8,000-square-foot RockResorts Spa at Tempo Miami sets the standard for other Miami spas to follow. The spa offers a dynamic design with thought-provoking, key elements and idiosyncrasies commonly found within our planet, including earth, water, air and fire. Earth is manifested in the use of dark and neutral wall treatments and floors within the treatment rooms and Spa Suite areas; hints of blue in the whirlpool areas reminisce water; the mystery of what appears to be shattered mirror as one enters each of the locker areas is intended to relate to light and air. To maintain the cohesiveness of the entire project and its public spaces, the reception area, with its distinctive green, serves as a constant reminder of what will soon become a cultural park – Museum Park. Overlooking Biscayne Bay, the spa offers seven lavish treatment rooms including two couples’ spa suites, one hydrotherapy room with Vichy shower and massage and dry treatment rooms. The spa also features a full-service nail salon, a fitness center with state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment, men’s and women’s locker rooms each with plunge pools, steam rooms and dry saunas, a recreation lap pool with outdoor whirlpools and a retail area featuring a variety of top-of-the-line products such as Elemis, REN, Spa Ritual and Hampton Sun. As a thank you to loyal guests, those who book more than one signature treatment in one day will receive a 15 percent discount.
