Newly Opened Sago Spa & Salon at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort Appoints Rose Hiro as Spa Director

CAMBRIDGE, Md.—(June 29, 2012) – The new Sago Spa & Salon , located at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay , announces the appointment of Rose Hiro as the new Spa Director. Hailing from Hawaii, Hiro brings more than two decades of experience in the hospitality and spa industries to her position at the spa, which re-opened in February of this year after receiving $1 million in comprehensive renovations.

“The inspiration behind our treatments – the life, vitality and nourishment of the indigenous Eastern Shore – is what makes Sago Spa so special,” said Hiro. “I’m thrilled to be part of this exceptional team.”

Most recently, Hiro was the assistant spa director at Spa Moana located at the Hyatt Regency Maui. She started her career at the Grand Hyatt Kauai where she served in several positions over the span of 17 years, including Assistant Spa Director.

Sago Spa & Salon’s treatment menu features the product lines of Thalgo , a French marine spa brand; and Naturopathica , a natural skincare line. Highlights of the treatments include the Monsoon Ritual, which begins with a scrub of lemongrass, bamboo and mimosa; and continues with a relaxing scalp and full body massage which incorporates the 6 phases of yin and yang with acupressure, moist heat and a deeply relaxing full body massage.
