Smith, Club & Spa Specialists is a full-service consulting firm that provides conceptual development, design, and operational expertise to a wide range of high-end spa properties (resort, day, destination, hotel/amenity) and clubs. SCSS has the benefit of having both in-depth operational and development experience in the industry.

The Smith team is dedicated to creating facilities and programs that are market-driven and distinctive within their competitive set. We believe that the principles of consumer product development apply to spas as well, and that the concept of “build it and they will come”, or of copying what other spas have done, is one of the most serious (and common) mistakes made in the spa industry today.

Through a qualitative process that begins with demographic, market and competitive research, the spa can be properly sized and a creative programmatic and design concept developed that ensures not only an exceptional guest experience, but maximal business profitability as well.
