Recognizes Clodagh as a Visionary for the Spa Industry
LEXINGTON,
Ky. -9-17-07 A world-renowned leader in architectural design will be honored
during the 2007 International SPA Associations Conference & Expo, Nov.
12-15 in Kissimmee, Florida, United States. Clodagh, founder of Clodagh Design
International, is the recipient of the ISPA 2007 Visionary Award. Her company
includes Clodagh Design, an architectural and interior design studio; Clodagh
Signature, a licensing and product design division; and Clodagh Collection, a
gallery and retail showroom.
Without a doubt, Clodagh
is one of the most innovative voices in the design world, said ISPA Chairman
Jim Root. Clodaghs vision of incorporating feng shui and sustainable
practices into her groundbreaking designs continues to raise the bar globally
for spa design.
The ISPA Visionary Award is given to
an active ISPA member who has contributed significantly toward both the definition
and positive movement of health and wellness over the lifetime of their career.

Since she was 17, when she began
her own couture clothing line, Clodagh has had a passion for making sure everything
one sees is beautiful. In her career, she has earned numerous awards including
Interior Designs Top 100 Interior Designers in America. She was named one
of the worlds leading interior designers by Architectural Digest and inducted
into the Interior Designer Hall of Fame. She has been listed in Robb Reports
Top 40 Interior Designers in the World. Additionally, she received the IFC Circle
of Excellence Award for Enlightened Design, and the 2006 Women in Design Award.
In its third printing, Clodagh has a bestselling book, Total Design,
which is a retrospective of her design work.
Clodagh will receive
the ISPA 2007 Visionary Award during the General Session on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
Recent past recipients of ISPAs Visionary Award include Sylvia Sepielli,
owner and president of Sylvia Planning And design (SPAd Inc); John E. Lopis, Ph.D.,
and Ginny Michel-Lopis, founders of JGL Inc.; the late Edwin Neill II, former
chief executive officer, Neill Corporation; and Frank van Putten, president, SpaSmart
Inc.
