Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort Announces Gerry O’Neil as New Spa Director of Stillwater Spa - Former Assistant Spa Director brings expertise and passion to Stillwater Spa

INCLINE VILLAGE, NV (December 10, 2007) - Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort Spa & Casino today announced Gerry O’Neil as the newly appointed Spa Director for Stillwater Spa. Nestled high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an elevation of over 6,000 feet, Stillwater Spa at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino is the ultimate retreat for relaxation and pampering in the Lake Tahoe/Reno resort area.

O’Neil brings more than fifteen years in the hotel industry working for highly acclaimed hotels across the country including the Swissôtel Boston, Park Hyatt Century City in Los Angeles, and Park Hyatt Hotel Century City in Los Angeles, to his new post at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino. Previously Assistant Spa Director at Kara Spa at Park Hyatt Hotel Century City, now an Intercontinental property, O’Neil joined Stillwater Spa in December 2007 as the Assistant Spa Director. As the newly appointed Spa Director, O’Neil will bring his passion and expertise of the spa industry to Stillwater Spa. \

At Stillwater Spa, O’Neil will be responsible for the continued success of the 20,000 square foot Spa. Already confident of his highly-experienced and talented staff of therapists, O’Neil will focus on enhancing the “wow” factor for the overall guest experience with unexpected touches and little perks.

“What makes Stillwater Spa so unique is that we get a very cosmopolitan clientele, not only from the Lake Tahoe area, but from San Francisco and Los Angeles,” say O’Neil. “Our clients view Stillwater Spa as an escape from their hectic daily lives. Our goal is to continue to have our local and visiting clients leave the Spa floating on a cloud.”

O’Neil’s current favorite treatment at the Spa is the Stillwater Signature Massage because of the special touch of hand and foot treatments, but he does have plans to update the treatment menu. Anticipating the growing trend among the savvy clientele of Stillwater Spa, O’Neil plans to incorporate organic essential oils and to develop organic treatments for Stillwater Spa’s list of offerings. Additionally, he will focus on retail sales at the area’s largest and most indulgent destination spa, incorporating local artwork in the Spa to bring in the Lake Tahoe spirit and community.

O’Neil is especially excited about the upcoming reintroduction of Stillwater Spa’s Very Luxurious Person Program (V.L.P), a unique locals-only program offered to Lake Tahoe area residents and second-homeowners. In its second year, the V.L.P. program offers members 25% off all treatments booked Sunday through Thursday from December 7 through December 27. After December 27, members will receive 15% off all treatments booked Sunday through Thursday.
