Parsons Appointed Spa Director At La Posada De Santa Fe Resort & Spa, A Rockresort

December 11, 2008 - Laura Parsons has been recently appointed spa director at
La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa, A RockResort. In her new position, Parsons
oversees day-to-day operations at the 4,500 square-foot RockResorts Spa that was
recently upgraded this spring as part of the resort's $6 million renovation. Parsons
will also be introducing more sustainable ingredients to the treatment menu this
year as part of RockResorts' commitment to the environment.
Parsons
has been the assistant spa manager at the RockResorts Spa since September 2007.
Prior to joining La Posada, Parsons gained leadership experience as the salon
and spa manager at Dillard's in Cincinnati, Ohio, the largest salon and spa in
the Dillard's portfolio. She started her spa industry career as the lead aesthetician
and lead nail technician at the Spa at the Bar Harbor Club in Maine.
"We
are excited to promote Laura to the position of Spa Director," said Edward
Towfighnia, general manager of La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa. "She
has been a truly valuable asset at our resort as a strong, savvy leader. We are
confident that with her guidance, the new treatment menu and overall spa experience
will be taken to new heights."
The RockResorts Spa at
La Posada de Santa Fe Resort has eight treatment rooms and offers signature treatments
including the Chocolate-Chile Wrap, the Pueblo Salt Glow exfoliation, and the
Spirit of Santa Fe total body treatment. It features a heated outdoor pool and
Jacuzzi.
Set on six beautifully landscaped acres, La Posada
de Santa Fe Resort & Spa, A RockResort, is located in the heart of Santa Fe,
New Mexico, just blocks from the historic Plaza and art galleries. The pueblo-style
village resort's $6 million dollar renovation was completed in July 2008, and
invites travelers to experience the revamped, sophisticated Southwest design and
updated luxury amenities. The extensive redesign enhanced all 157 guest rooms
including 30 signature suites, public spaces, the RockResorts Spa, the historic
Staab House and dining venues. The resort features an art program in which an
original collection of artwork, photography and statues supplied by local galleries
are on display throughout the property.
