ST. MICHAELS, MD While watching coverage of
the disaster affecting the Gulf Coast of America, and receiving
calls from his staff and management, Bob Pascal, owner of
St. Michaels Harbour Inn, Marina & Spa, announced that his
full-service resort on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, will be donating
proceeds from the hotel to the American Red Cross Hurricane Disaster
Fund.
During the month of September a midweek rate of $225
for Waterfront rooms and suites will be offered to guests. Fifty
percent of the rate will be designated for the Hurricane Relief
Fund.
Having felt the full force of Hurricane Isabel in
September 2003, when the first floor of the hotel was under several
feet of water, Bob Pascal knows too well the damage and destruction
that flood water can cause.
Following the re-furbishment of the hotel this Spring
he had already given the go ahead on Wednesday to send furniture,
linens, bedding, etc, that were being held in storage on a truck
to the people who lost their homes, but soon realized much more
was needed in the way of monetary donations.
Pascal served as State Appointments Secretary to Governor
William Donald Schaefer, as Anne Arundel County Executive and as
a Maryland State Senator.
