With over 60 treatment rooms and 8 manicure/pedicure stations,
Glen Ivy offers an array of world class skin and body care services. The relaxation
begins with the short walk to one of four massage buildings. The pathways are

appearance the walls made of cedar are anchored by a common back wall with each
room offering an impressive cascading water feature.
Café Sole is an upscale restaurant featuring healthy organic
cuisine using seasonal ingredients from local farmer and purveyors. Featuring

New Signature Services Menu
The famous spa
has launched a revolutionary new signature services menus focused on the seven
chakras - the ancient Indian theories of energy balance. The "Signature 7
Services" are categorized by each chakra they target and are integrated in
massage, body work and facials.
Chakra, a Sanskrit word for
spinning wheel, refers to seven main energy hubs in the body where the 216 energy
channels cross over each other forming energy spirals. The seven chakras are located
starting at the perineum and continuing up the spine to the crown. Each chakra
represents a color of the rainbow with red at the bottom and violet at the crown.
For optimal health each chakra should be open and spinning at consistent rates
- however, with daily stress and general health issues, chakras can become over
or under active. Chakra balance has been linked to color, aromas, sound vibrations,
levels of consciousness, emotions, planets, gems, herbs, planets and event deities.
Meditation, aromatherapy, yoga, and spa therapies have all been proven to help
balance chakras and enhance overall well-being.

the body feeling renewed and refreshed. Among the Signature 7 treatment categories
The recharge treatments are focused on the first chakra
located at the perineum - the root chakra. A healthy root chakra helps motivate
your basic survival instincts - in our society, earning money, paying bills and
satisfying physical needs. An unbalanced root chakra is usually found in men and
can cause greed, domination in relationships and other unhealthy behaviors. The
recharge treatments are geared toward gentlemen and use earthy aromas to help
stimulate and energize this area.

Orange represents this energy area which is most affected by pregnancy. Rejoice
are prenatal treatments aimed at balancing this area which governs the creative
and emotion related energies. A balanced sacral chakra allows creative pursuit
of artistic expression while an unbalanced version will cause mood swings, hyperactivity
Refresh treatments use the color
yellow and aromatherapy with scents like lime, ginger and bergamot to help aid
in the balance of the third chakra - the solar plexus. Located below the ribs
near the stomach, this chakra controls the balance of your energy with various
activities. A balanced solar plexus chakra will allow one to make wise decision
and feel content with the results. If this chakra is in turmoil it will cause
some to become workaholics or make poor decisions that affect other areas of life.
Using the color green in a custom blend of olive, avocado and sage, the renew
treatments affect the green chakra, the heart. This fourth chakra controls love
and relationships. A properly functioning heart chakra will bring compassion,
friendship, love and the ability to form positive relationships. Whereas, a malfunctioning
heart chakra can cause jealousy, possessiveness, obsessive ness, and a domineering
personality that make it impossible to manage friendships and find love.
fifth chakra is located at the throat and affects communication. The symbolic
color blue is replicated as water in these treatments which replenish the body
of water and moisture critical to optimal health. Replenish treatments utilize
essential oils infused with scents like jasmine and ginger to balance the fifth
chakra. An unhealthy fifth chakra may make one shy or uneasy while a balanced
version allows easy communication and interaction with friends and family.
sixth chakra located at the brow is tied to the color indigo. Utilizing purple
herbs such as lavender rejuvenate treatments balance this chakra which controls
spirituality and peace. When closed, this chakra can cause one to be unfocused
and close-minded, while a balanced "third eye" can allow peace and a

seventh chakra representative of the color violet. This chakra controls understanding
and wisdom. When balanced it empowers and allows the energy and strength to deal
with daily life. When unhealthy it leads to poor decision making, unhappiness
and feelings of isolation. The brow chakra is stimulated by musky scents. Utilizing
fragrances of frankincense, myrrh and sandalwood, the relax treatments help stimulate
this chakra using aromatherapy and visualization.
