New Ultra Luxury Spa Villagio Opens at Napa Valley's Villagio Inn & Spa

Reminiscent of Early California design highlighting classic Mediterranean accents, including stone arched entryways and Spanish-style terra cotta clay tile roofs, Spa Villagio boasts a 13,000-square-foot-sanctuary with 16 treatment rooms and five unique sumptuously-designed personal spa suites. Guests are enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and creature comfort from the moment of entry into the reception atrium, crafted in rich woods and native Napa Valley fieldstone. The intimate retreat, a nod to a relaxed and alluring sprit, strikes a perfect balance between classic and contemporary, offering luxurious antiques of European descent.

Separate men’s and women’s wings are designed for ultimate privacy and comfort. Open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the new spa will pride itself on customizing spa escapes for couples with romantic interludes, guys and girls getaways, wedding party celebrations, and executive retreats.

Designed by Architect Bruce Pao of IPA Design of Berkeley, California and Interior Designer Charles De Lisle of De Lisle, Philpotts & Staub Interiors of San Francisco, the women’s and men’s spa lounges evoke a residential tone. Each is opulently designed with relaxation areas with large rustic wood beamed ceilings, hardwood floors, Italian-style tile with elongated herringbone brick, wrought iron and crystal chandeliers, rough-hewn hardwood finishes, intimate fireplaces, and stone interiors. Delicate sheers and woven brocade drapes blend harmoniously with tailored sofas and chairs. Amenities include Swiss showers, steam and dry saunas, and outdoor thermal soaking tubs.

Five spa suites (Aqua, Mayacamas, The Den, The Loft, and Stags Leap) create a one-of-a-kind respite with picturesque views of Napa Valley. Suites are appointed with fireplaces, daybeds dressed with luxurious linens, steam showers, wet bars, jetted infinity soakings tubs, outdoor decks, and private terraces. Vaulted ceilings and Italian-style tile floors encompass the wet treatment areas, while polished marble counters, hardwood cabinetry and flat screen televisions with Bose surround sound systems create a warm and personal space. Pure indulgence, the 50-minute Absolute Pearl Illuminate Oxygenating Facial restores radiance utilizing a potent oxygenating gel mask of crushed pearls, rich in essential amino acids and mineral salts, with citrus, bearberry and licorice extracts. The treatment includes a gel mask, eye and lip care. For the body, the Spa’s 50-minute Monticelli Mud Reducing & Purifying Treatment empowers spa goers to experience the benefits and pleasure of a true thalasso treatment. Direct from the source in Monticelli Terme, in the hills outside of Parma, Italy, this rich, creamy Italian mud is enhanced with cypress, lemon and fennel essential oils. Inspired by the traditions and culture of ancient worlds, the 100-minute Aromasoul Mediterranean Ritual Massage fuses fluid and relaxing strokes that dance like waves over the body and provide a feeling of renewal and peace. The synergy of basil, bergamot, mandarin, orange and lemon, blended in natural extracts of jojoba oil, revitalize and stimulate the spirit, followed by a full body massage that calms and soothes the soul.

Signature spa nail rituals on the menu begin with impeccable nail grooming.
