ISPA Foundation Releases "Spa: A Comprehensive Introduction" Textbook
& Accompanying DVD LEXINGTON, Ky. - Dec 16,
2008 - The International SPA Association Foundation along with The American Hotel
& Lodging Educational Institute (EI) have developed a new textbook titled
"Spa: A Comprehensive Introduction." This text takes an in-depth look
at everything from the history and cultural development of spas, to daily spa
operating procedures. Coinciding with
the textbook, is a video component that corresponds with each chapter. The video
presents interviews with leading spa industry professionals and showcases several
top spa facilities. Together, the textbook and DVD will help provide a solid foundation
for future spa industry leaders. Students
will also become familiar with, and learn from, spa professionals in various roles
including therapists, managers, CEO's, chefs and spa directors
"As the spa industry continues to grow it is important
to provide the necessary educational tools to the next generation of professionals,"
said ISPA Foundation President Edwin H. Neill III. "Today's industry leaders
share their wisdom and experiences throughout this valuable resource, giving students
a first hand account of what a spa looks like, how it is operated and how treatments
are performed." The textbook was
developed by a diverse committee of top spa professionals led by John Korpi, former
ISPA Chairman and ISPA Foundation President, and authored by Elizabeth M. Johnson
and Bridgette M. Redman. Both the textbook and DVD are available to colleges worldwide
through the Educational Institute. To order, visit www.experienceispa.com.

You can clean your home, fruits, vegetables and meats with the same 'Aqueous Ozone' that spas and other companies use. Tersano's ‘Aqueous Ozone’ Cleaning Systemt is the world's most effective chemical-free cleaner. ‘Aqueous Ozone’ quickly oxidizes (kills) viruses and bacteria (including E.coli, Salmonella, MRSA, C-Difficil), mold, mildew and other contaminants on any item or surface - from toilets to bedspreads - before changing safely back into water and oxygen. ‘Aqueous Ozone’ is 3000 times faster and 50% more powerful than bleach and chlorine-based cleaners. It is 100% chemical free - no toxins, carcinogens or chemical residue - and safe for babies, pets and people with sensitive skin or those with strong reactions to normal cleaners. ‘Aqueous Ozone’ has long been used in water treatment, food sterilization and medical therapies for its remarkable anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties. It sounds too good to be true, but the data show how effective the system works.
I'm a believer.
