Dr. Alphonse R. Tribuiani, DPM, FACFAS, is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. He completed a one-year surgical and medical residency at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, followed by a two-year surgical residency at Crozer-Keystone Health Systems. He co-invented Deep Cover Nail System which is sold on DeepCoverSystems.com and ShopNBC television network. He is a founding member of the Southwest Florida Ankle & Foot Care Specialists which has fifteen centers in Southwest Florida.
Dr. Alphonse R. Tribuiani, DPM, FACFAS, gives the Dos and Don’ts for sexy summer feet:
- DO cut nails straight across, not rounded;
- DON’T forget the sunscreen! Use minimum SPF 50 moisturizing sunscreen with Vitamin A and E on barefoot or exposed feet/toes;
- DO pumice your soles with exfoliating creams. Avoid stones and graters which are breeding grounds for fungus; and
- DON’T share bottles. BYOP (Bring Your Own Polish) to nail salons and spas to avoid infection
