SHEFFIELD,
MA - Cypress Apparel Group, recognized for over a quarter of a century
as one of the world's leading providers of luxury bathrobes to the hotel
and spa industries, unveiled the KdSpa for Cypress collection, an expansive
new collection of fashion-forward spawear, footwear, spa accessories
and staff uniforms to the spa industry at the 2005 ISPA Conference &
Expo September 30 - October 3 in Dallas. This unique collection was
designed exclusively for Cypress by KdSpa New York, a division of KD
dids, Inc. Widely recognized by the fashion industry as the foremost
designer of dancewear and fitness apparel, the company's KdDance fashions
have been featured in numerous fashion magazines, such as Vogue, Elle,
W, and Harper's Bazaar, as well as many prominent spa and fitness publications.
KdDance apparel has also appeared in major motion pictures, including
Shall We Dance and this summer's The Upside of Anger.
The KdSpa for Cypress spawear collection includes body conscious daywear,
cover-ups, workout apparel, Après Spa fashions and casual footwear.
All are constructed from a selection of sumptuous fabrics designed to
provide the ultimate in luxury and comfort. Accessories in the collection
include yoga mats, meditation pillows and totes. Both the spawear and
accessories are designed to be marketed to spa clientele in a spa-exclusive
retail environment. In addition, a unique line of KdSpa staff uniforms
will be marketed to the spas themselves.
"During the product design and development stage with KdSpa, we
found that there is a strong need for uniforms that address the specialized
needs of spa staff," says Cypress President, Karen Faul. "Those
needs specifically are flexibility, breathabilty, durability, fit, style
and stain resistance. Our new KdSpa for Cypress collection is an ideal
solution that is also a real departure from the 'hospital-like' options
that are on the uniform market today. By offering unique staff apparel,
in addition to spa retail fashions from the same designer, we offer
a cohesive package that is designed to boost the spa's overall branding,
marketing and image."
"We are very excited about this partnership with Cypress,"
said David Lee, president and creative director for KdSpa. "As
the lines between spa, dance and fitness apparel continue to be blurred,
we have developed fashions that flow easily from one activity to the
next - and do it with high style and comfort. Who could resist that?"
