        Spa Places in the News
          Zagat
Survey Summary: 2002 Top US Spas
              In October
                2002, Zagat Survey
released its new Top U.S. Hotels, Resorts & Spas Survey, covering
870 leading properties across the nation. 7,722 frequent travelers,
including 675 travel professionals, contributed to the Survey.
Since the average surveyor spent about 31 nights per year in the
hotels surveyed, the new guide is based on roughly 240,000 annual
room nights. Using Zagat’s signature 30-point scale, surveyors
rated hotel chains, as well as hotels, resorts and spas separately
for their rooms, service, dining and public facilities. Here are
the top spa results and the surveyors' most important things to
consider when selecting a spa: Top
