Description: Nestled in a 200-acre secluded valley, Cal-A-Vie Resembles a quaint, tile-roofed village in Provence. It accommodates only 24 guests on luxurious, week-long retreats for positive attitude and lifestyle changes with individual fitness programs, gourmet spa meals, spa services, and more. Ratio of staff members to guests - each week is 4-to-1. Most weeks are women-only, but there are some co-ed weeks. $15 million dollars has been invested in the spa's general renovation and new fitness center to open February 2005.

Treatments & Programs: Upon arrival, each guest is given a computerized fitness evaluation to determine flexibility, strength, blood pressure and heart rate. Cal-a-Vie’s Fitness Program is a comprehensive, seven day regime designed to help you achieve your personal fitness goals. Cal-a-Vie also has a modified quick start fitness program for those guests on one of our La Petite programs. Fitness Activities include BOSU, Body Bars, Bodyworks, Cardio Class, Cardio Kickboxing, Circuit Training, Core and More, Core Training, Dance, Fitness Evaluation, Hikes, Labyrinth, Mat Pilates, Meditation, Neuromuscular Integrative Action, Resistance Balls, Resistance Bands/Bars, Spinning, Sports Conditioning, Stability Balls, Step, Stress Management Tools, Stretch, Tai Chi, Walks, Water Volleyball, Waterworks, Xercise Bars, Yoga and Extra Service Options (Private Fitness Training, Golf, Tennis, Water Circuit). Cal-a-Vie offers a beauty therapy program unlike any other in the country, utilizing sophisticated European techniques of thalassotherapy, hydrotherapy and aromatherapy. These sensible, therapeutic treatments help restore your body to its natural balance, inner serenity returns. You feel relaxed, content and deliciously pampered. With the European package you will recieve 16 treatments throughout the week. All are included in the price: Facials, Hair and Scalp, Hand and Foot, Massage, Ayruvedic Mud Scrub, Thalassotherapy, Hot Stone Massage, Hydrotherapy, Aromatherapy, Massage Reflexology, Magnet Treatment, Vichy Shower Experience, Contouring Massage and Cellulite Reduction Treatment. Educational Lectures include Stress Management, Nutrition and Cooking Class. World renowned for its low calorie gourmet cuisine, Cal-a-Vie guests enjoy meals in the comfortable and inviting dining room as well as on the beautfiul and serene courtyards.

Spa Facilities: The treatment facility includes five private massage rooms, five private outdoor decks, a tub room with two hydro baths, Jacuzzi, and wet and dry saunas. A pooling and cascading central stream provides soothing sound throughout the spa. The spa underwent a $10 million general renovation in 2004 with all the accommodations completed in an elegant French provincial style and the new Bath House, a glorious oasis for water activities and special spa treatments. The $5 million state-of-the-art Fitness Center will open February 2005. Built from the ground up just a pleasant walk from the "main campus" of the spa, the Fitness Center features a 2-story 17,000 square-foot building dedicated to fitness, Mediterranean design consistent with the rest of the spa complex, wood-sprung floors throughout for maximum shock-absorption, light-filled space with plenty of windows and doors; also covered decking and porches to accommodate outdoor classes, 3 spacious exercise rooms for fitness classes; separate room for cardio-equipment; pilates room for mat work and machines; weight room with new resistance and strength machines, as well as free weights, Individual audio/visual enhancement in the weight room and cardio room, 2,500 square foot multi-purpose space for formal meetings, team building events, break out sessions and recreational activities; this space will be equipped with internet high speed connectivity for multiple users, large plasma screen, PowerPoint and audio-visual equipment. Of course, all of these exciting new facilities will be enhanced by expert instruction in an expanded range of classes for all levels and fitness goals.

Other Facilities: At Cal-a-Vie you will enjoy your stay in your own private Mediterranean-style villa.
