Surrounded by over 20,000 acres of rich Canadian wilderness and ranchland in the
middle of a working cattle ranch, The Hills Health & Guest Ranch offers guests
a refuge of renewal and rejuvenation while being surrounded by peaceful countryside
reflecting the true Canadian west. Each participant is guided, nurtured, educated,
enlightened, and supported as they begin to make the lifestyle changes and choices
that will improve their health and state of wellness. Treatments
& Programs: Treatments using rosehip oil produced from rosehips harvested
on the ranch - body wraps, body scrubs, massage. Body treatments (mineralizing
seaweed moisturizing wrap, salt glow renew scrub with shower, anti-stress aromatherapy
wrap, spirulina detox wrap), massage (dry brush, Swedish rosehip relaxation full
body, seated back and neck), facial treatment (deep cleansing clay facial, ginko
lift hyperthermal mask, age eraser facial, gentleman's cleansing and grooming
facial treatment, express facial, deluxe eye treatment, special facial treatment
for acne or problem skin), hydrotherapy (thalassotherapy seaweed bath, aromatherapy
custom bath), specialized (buff and tan treatment, linolenic normalizing treatment
for stretch marks and burns, oxygel c cellulite wrap spot treatment, deluxe cellulite
treatment, signature happy feet hydro-spa, back facial), hair and scalp, face
and make up, hands and feet, waxing. Weight Treatments
& Programs: Weight Loss is a misleading term for what these programs
provide you. You will be educated and encouraged toward a healthier, better lifestyle.
You are not treated like a recruit in a boot camp with sparse meals. Your caloric
intake is controlled, and your food fat percentages are kept to optimal levels
(along with your carbohydrates and proteins). You are nurtured and educated about
the choices you make. At the same time you provide the effort to go to the fitness
classes best suited to your needs. You are also pampered - to ease sore muscles
and to encourage the soul! The goal is not to lose weight - but rather to change
a lifestyle that gave you extra un-wanted pounds. Once you begin to understand
the healthy lifestyle and become more committed to it, then your body will gradually
reduce to your optimum weight level. 6-night, 10-night and 30-night programs
are available. Spa Facilities: 15 treatment
rooms in the main building and a fully equipped exercise facility featuring free
weights, a full circuit of Apex equipment, large aerobic area, Lifestride treadmills,
a stair-climber, and exercise bikes. There is an indoor swimming pool, two relaxing
hydrotherapy pools, and two dry saunas. Other
Facilities: Full service country dining room with an excellent gourmet
menu, serving healthy ranch, vegetarian and low-fat Spa Cuisine. Gift shop carrying
souvenirs, and clothing, as well as the outstanding health and beauty products
used at the Hills. In the winter, the Ski Shop is open, overlooking 200 km or
nordic ski trails and the night-lighted downhill ski and snowboard park. The Ski
Shop offers equipment rentals for down-hill and cross-country skiing, as well
as ice skates, hockey sticks, ski waxes, snowshoe rentals, and toboggan rentals!
In the summer, there are rentals of mountain bikes. The ranch facilities are run
out of a big red barn where all of the rides begin and end - including the entertaining
Hay Ride Sing-Along parties. Banquet and meeting convention space. The
