Sawadee kha (Hello)!

Thai massage (nuat paen boran) is my favorite spa treatment. I always feel positively energized after having one. What better place to experience it than in the country this ancient massage originated?  I had five Thai massages during my visit to Thailand in June 2001. One of these was at the beautiful Spa at Four Seasons Chiang Mai in the northern mountains. In the following 60+ photos, you will see The Spa therapists, Ms. Kanchana and Ms. Nutcacharin, demonstrate a Thai massage in The Spa's open-air penthouse, the Lann Chang Suite. Ms. Kanchana is wearing a loose-fitting Thai massage outfit called a "choot nourd" that The Spa provides for its clients to wear during the massage. I liked it so much, I bought one to take home.
