Maternity Treatments & Programs: Mother's Massage - 50 or 80 minutes- This soothing and gentle massage eases muscle tension and fatigue during pregnancy, focusing on the special needs of the mother-to-be.

Spa Facilities: The new Spa at La Costa underwent a $140 million makeover completed January 2004. It encompages 43,000 square-feet which are divided into two spaces - the 28,000 square-foot interior and 15,000 square-foot outdoor courtyard. The building is designed in a California Colonial architectural style with walls of smooth stucco, terracotta tiles, cathedral ceilings, wrought iron embellishments and a 25-foot bell tower. Feng Shui inspired features are found throughout the spa, including a fountain topped with an "eternal" flame that welcomes guests. The spa features 42 treatment rooms, including 20 massage, eight facial, two multi-purpose, two Thai, six body treatment, one Vichy shower, one hydro-tub and two VIP spa suites for couples. The VIP spa suites include side-by-side massage tables, shower, bathroom, fireplace and a private, outdoor garden patio with a whirlpool tub. In addition, the Spa at La Costa houses the full-service Yamaguchi Salon, a spa boutique, spa cafe and movement and fitness training studios. Before most services, each guest enjoys the signature AGUA de la VIDA (water of life) circuit consisting of a Roman waterfall, whirlpool, cedar sauna, steam room. The outdoor spa courtyard includes a lounge pool, sunbathing areas and an invigorating Roman Waterfall. The spa also features private men's and women's wet areas complete with steam, sauna, whirlpool, cold plunge, showers and luxurious lounges. A co-ed spa lounge overlooking the spa courtyard features and adobe-style fireplace and relaxation games such as yoga decks and chess reflexolgy balls.

Other Facilities: Two PGA Championship 18 hole golf courses - North Course and South Course, 19 courts featuring clay and hard courts surfaces, with seven courts lit for evening play at La Costa Tennis Club, West Coast Tennis Academy, croquet, bicycles, heated pools throughout the resort.

The 8,000 square-foot Athletic Club at La Costa Resort and Spa provides you with the latest in athletic equipment while enjoying a magnificent 270 degree view of the two Championship Golf Courses. The Athletic Club's approach teaches you healthy eating habits and effective exercise techniques which can be integrated into your lifestyle. Registered dieticians concentrate on low-fat menu planning and spa cuisine cooking. Exercise physiologists can evaluate your fitness level using state-of-the-art methods and computerized printouts.
