Description: The first Angsana Spa on the Red Sea, the spa at the Mövenpick El Gouna Hotel opened on 3rd July 2005. The new Angsana spa is conceptualised, developed and will be managed by the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa. Spread across a myriad of islands interlinked by beautiful lagoons, the destination offers a wide range of accommodation facilities, from comfortable guest houses to luxurious beachfront resorts. Only a short flight away from Europe’s capitals, El Gouna is easily accessible due to its location just 22 km away from Hurghada International Airport.

Treatments and Programs: Signature treatments include Nerfertiti’s Ritual, named after Queen Nerfertiti, whose era introduced indulgence and body pampering to Egypt. This 180 minute treatment includes 90 minutes of wave massage followed by a 40 minute Lulur treatment, where turmeric paste is mixed with aromatic floral essence and used to exfoliate the skin and concludes with a 10 minute cooling yoghurt splash. Massages include Desert Sand (90 mins), where muscle tension is eased with a combination of strokes and light percussion with a sand-filled linen pouch dipped in warm oil and applied to each part of the body consecutively. Alternatively guests can opt for the Ibu’s secret massage (90 mins), a deep tissue massage adapted from traditional Balinese techniques where the therapist uses thumb and palm pressure to soothe aching muscles and relieve tension or the signature Angsana massage (120 mins). Spa Facilities: Stretching over 500 square metres, Angsana Spa has 12 treatment rooms including two single treatment suites, four single facial therapy suites, six double treatment suites and two deluxe double treatment suites. This chic respite is well equipped with separate male and female locker rooms, manicure and pedicure areas, and an array of specially designed whirlpool hot-baths. For shopping enthusiasts, the spa has an Angsana Gallery that offers a wide range of lifestyle products and spa mementoes and invites you to replicate your Angsana Spa experience in your own home. The Health Club has a well-equipped gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath, squash, tennis, beauty salon and library.

Other Facilities: Blending harmoniously with the landscape and natural environment, the Moevenpick Resort and Spa El Gouna is built on 10kms of beachfront and boasts award-winning architecture.
