Description: Located at Columbus
Circle, Mandarin Oriental, New York has breathtaking views of Central
Park, the Hudson River and the sparkling lights of Midtown and beyond.
As part of the new, mixed-use Time Warner Center, the hotel is situated
in the centers north building, 280 feet above ground, and ideally
located near some of the citys best shops, restaurants, performance
centers and of course, Central Park.
Treatments: Guests are
encouraged to arrive a minimum of 40 minutes prior to their scheduled
treatment and fully immerse themselves in an oasis of heat and water located
in separate mens and womens areas. During this period of preparation,
the guests have time to acclimate to the philosophy of the spa, as well
as experience the following heat treatments: Amethyst Crystal Steam Room
(Designed to induce mental peace, tranquility, inspiration and meditation,
this relaxing steam room channels the healing powers of an amethyst crystal
that serves as the centerpiece for the room. Subdued colored lighting
and the infusion of fragrances enhance the soothing environment. Temperature
is maintained at 107 to 114 degrees and is moist heat.) and The Vitality
Pool (Designed to aid in the relaxation of tired and aching joints, the
pool contains a selection of hydrotherapy body jets, a floor jet and reclining
air bed lounge with jets to gently massage the entire body.
Up to four guests at a time can sink into the depths of the 96.8-degree
soothing pool.). The spa provides a complete journey of the senses
that are booked in blocks of time called TIME RITUALS. Designed to restore
ones natural state of equilibrium, guests need only communicate
their likes and decide how they would like to feel after the experience.
Highly skilled and attentive therapists access what is best for each person.
The Spas TIME RITUALS are performed in harmonious stages: Welcome,
Purify, Nurture, Balance and Bliss. The amount of time booked determines
how many phases can be experienced, and to what extent. Each personalized
treatment incorporates holistic rejuvenation techniques complemented by
Asian-based rituals. Signature treatments include: Mind & Body Treatments
(Chakra balancing with hot stones, Purva Karma four handed synchronize
massage, Ayuravedic influence massage and more); Ultimate Body Wraps (The
detoxifier, muscle relaxer and energy booster wraps among others); Mini
Rituals (Jet lag eliminator, muscle relaxer, contour & firming and
more), Rituals (Abhyanga, Dosha specific Ayuravedic wraps and more), Facials
Age defyer, skin brightener, re-hydrator, aromatherapy and more;

New Treatments to Delight the Senses
Romantic Treatments & Programs:
The first of its kind in New York, the 650-square-foot Mandarin Spa Suite
replicates a sumptuous oriental-style home with stunning views, fireplace,
elevated bath, dual massage beds and a special kang treatment bed used
for shiatsu and Thai massage. The Spa Suite is priced for two guests with
a three-hour minimum (two-hour time ritual per person; one-hour relaxation
suggested).
Maternity Treatments & Programs:
Total Indulgence Pre/Post Natal Treatment (1 hour 20 minutes) - This total
body treatment has been carefully designed for pregnant and nursing mothers
to aid in relaxation and tonicity of the skin during this very special
time. The treatment avoids the use of essential oils and is a luxurious
treat using a Calendula infused oil, various muds and creams and advanced
massage techniques to safe areas. It leaves the skin toned and the guest
completely relaxed. New Beginnings Package (3 hours 45 minutes) This program
has been carefully designed for pregnant and nursing mothers to aid relaxation,
leaving you feeling cherished. It includes: Total Indulgence Pre/Post
Natal Treatment; Intensive Facial and Eye Lift Treatment (Natural products
are combined with relaxing and purifying techniques to help calm, soothe
or revitalize depending on the condition of the skin. Includes a specialized
Eye Lifting Treatment to pay special attention to the delicate area of
the eyes and neck.); and Holistic Foot and Nail Treatment with Hot Stones
(This holistic foot and nail treatment includes gentle skin softening
exfoliation as well as a relaxing acupressure point massage with the aromatherapy
massage oil prescribed for your individual needs. The feet are then enveloped
in warm paraffin wax to deeply nourish and condition the skin, leaving
the feet soft and smooth.).

The 14,500-square-foot Spa at Mandarin Oriental, New York is discreetly
tucked away on the hotel's west side with a view of the Hudson River.
Honoring the hotels oriental culture, the spa offers holistic rejuvenation
and relaxation in a tranquil, meditative setting, soothing mind, body,
and spirit. Facilities are located on floors 35 and 36 with a private
interconnecting elevator. There are seven multifunctional private treatment
rooms, experience showers which infuse soothing fragrances,
heated massage beds, vitality pools in separate mens and womens
wet areas, underwater air bed lounge for soothing underwater
massages, amethyst crystal steam room, oriental-style Tea Lounge, separate
mens and womens relaxation lounges and a private couples
suite with separate changing room, elevated bath, steam sauna and fireplace.
Within the spa, the 6,000 square-foot fitness center features Life Fitness
Signature Series resistance training equipment, free weights and a naturally-lit
75-foot lap pool surrounded by floor to ceiling windows offering scenic
Hudson River views. Design features of the spa include bamboo flooring,
water features, natural stone, specially commissioned three-dimensional
artwork, color therapy lighting, slate flooring in wet areas, gold leaf
millwork, Chinese furniture and Japanese rice paper glass window treatments.
Other Facilities: Mandarin Oriental,
New Yorks signature restaurant, Asiate, MObar, Lobby Lounge cocktail
bar, and a 6,000-square-foot pillar-less ballroom with three walls of
windows providing stunning views overlooking Central Park, along with
three additional meeting rooms for smaller executive meetings.
