Kohler Waters Spa Expansion Enhances
Guest Experience
KOHLER, Wis. April 2005 Broadening the year-round
appeal of The American Club resort complex, the Kohler Waters Spa has
undergone a major expansion and renovation. The increased capacity,
due to overwhelming demand from resort and day trip guests, will include
additional treatment rooms and newly-created Immersion Suites to meet
peak guest demand and to enhance the quality of the overall spa experience.
Major construction elements of the project will add 9,045
square feet to the existing Kohler Waters Spa space, expanding it by
more than 50 percent. Interior décor of the expansion will emulate
the same traditional and timeless sense of The American Club and the
relaxing environment of the Kohler Waters Spa. Eight new treatment rooms,
with the service menu continuing to focus on innovative water experiences,
will be added. Additional lounge space will accommodate guests during
continental breakfast and evening refreshments. Capacity of the womens
locker rooms will also be expanded while maintaining the relaxing, soothing,
intimate environment experienced within the spa.
Perhaps the most exciting new amenity is the new rooftop
deck with a waterfall, whirlpool, fireplace and lounge that will provide
a relaxing co-ed area that guests may enjoy year-round. The rooftop
deck is also comprised of a 600-square-foot open air relaxation space
with McGuire chaisse lounges and an abundance of greenery and flowers.
The rooftop deck is intimate and spectacular, it
has a real communal feel to it, says Jean Kolb, Director-Wellness
Business & Product Development for Kohler Co. Guests can relax
in the warmth of a 12 foot-long fireplace, or submerge themselves in
the waterfall and whirlpool amenities available on the deck. The room
is surrounded by three sides of glass windows that open to bring the
freshness of the outdoors in.
The expansion will also include a reconfiguration of guestrooms
in the Carriage House, an annex to The American Club situated directly
above the Kohler Waters Spa. Five existing guestrooms will be converted
to Immersion Suites and five new Immersion Suites will be added to the
three-story building.
The ten Immersion Suites will reflect the same unstudied
sense of comfort found throughout the Kohler Waters Spa. Averaging 560
square feet, each suite will offer a KOHLER Tea for Two whirlpool and
a shower centrally located within the room with fireplace, plasma screen
television, and sitting area. Guests can enjoy a relaxing whirlpool
bath in front of a fireplace, in the center of the suite and the opportunity
to have a treatment in the suite. A mix of furniture styles, fresh colors,
and textural fabrics and surfaces will create a serene environment that
allows spa guests to immediately relax and reconnect.
Our Immersion Suites address an industry trend toward
more in-room service. They are plush, private and the perfect place
to stay within mentally, emotionally and physically,
explains Kolb. With these suites, Kohler Waters Spa takes in-room
service to a whole new level. In addition to providing massage, well
draw a guests bath so they may enjoy any number of therapeutic
water treatments in the privacy of their own guest room. The focal point
of the room is the whirlpool bath and shower located in the center of
the suite.
The Kohler Waters Spa will reopen the week of April 4.
The Immersion Suites, new treatment rooms and rooftop deck are scheduled
to unveil in Summer 2005.
